Leukemia’s been my life since I was eleven. Now, six years later, I want my life back. Only I’m not sure what that is. The test results came back today. 22,000. Which means I’m officially out of remission—again. I have three options:
1) Another round of chemo.
2) A super-new experimental drug.
3) Dump it all— forget the meds and treatments and enjoy the time I have left.
I think I know what I want. Then, in walks Damian, changing everything.
I mean, everything…
He’s got his own set of issues. It binds us together, you know? We understand what it’s like to lose what matters most in seconds. Still, the last thing I need is to have someone else to crush if I can’t fight hard enough. And the last thing he needs is someone else to grieve.
Never mind. I’m down to two options now.
Somehow I know that whichever one I choose, the result will be the same. With the sand in my hourglass seeping to the bottom, I hope there’s enough left to show Damian that life’s worth living.
Worth fighting for. Worth dying for.

5 amazing stars
Love Always, Kate is a heart-wrenching story, which will shatter your heart into a million pieces, leaving you gasping for breath.
I knew from the synopsis I would be a quivering mess but call me glutton for punishment. I was drawn into the storyline I had to read it, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
What can I say about Kate, she's an inspiration. She's strong, COURAGEOUS and admirable. I wanted to take her pain away.
Damian, my heart broke for him on more than one occasion. He's been through a lot and is barely surviving. Even though Damian is rough around the edges from all the tragedy he's endured, Boy, didn't catch my heart.
An amazing read, but you will need a box of tissues.

Jay Walking is the second book in the Pastime pursuits series but can be read has a standalone. I was in a major book funk before reading Jay Walking, and this was just what I needed to pull me out of it. Jay Walking is a light easy read, in which I read within one sitting. The story highlights the possible struggles you can face has a single parent.
Chelsea is a likable character, and very relatable. She's strong-willed and wants the best for her son.
Daniel, yeah let's not go there.
Jay is the sweet forever, guy. I didn't agree with how he dealt with certain situations, but he still won me over.
Jay Walking is the first book, I've read by Tracy Krimmer which I thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Name: Winter Travers.
Describe your personality in three words……… Fun, Creative, Off the wall
Describe your writing style in three words……. Realistic, Unique, Fun
Which is your favourite chapter that you have written and why?
I recently wrote a chapter in my WIP that one of my characters just cracked me up. She’s really a fun character to write.
What has been your toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been your best compliment?
I think any criticism is tough. I just try to take them all in and use them to improve myself.
My best compliment is when anyone tells me they read Loving Lo and loved it. I still jump for joy when someone tells me they read it.
Is there a message in your novel/novels that you want your reader to grasp?
I just want my novels to feel realistic. Whenever someone tells me they can see themselves being like one of my characters I think that shows I’m doing what I set out to do; realistic and down to earth stories.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Write. Everyday. Even if you don’t write a lot, it’s better than nothing.
I recently started doing timed writing. I set a timer for 25 minutes and push myself to write 500 words. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much…
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to play the lead role?
Rebel Wilson. Love her and her crazy sense of humor.
If you were a superhero, what would you want your powers to be?
Fly. No specific reason other than I think it would be fun to be able to fly everywhere.
If you could meet one of your own characters who would it be and why?
Meg. I love her crazy and zany personality. I think we would really get along and I hope she would bring Lo with her.
Most embarrassing moment?
I have them daily. Most recently, I tripped at work and sprawled out on the floor. Not my finest moment…
Where do you see yourself if ten years?
Kind of where I am now, except to go from Debut Author to Seasoned Author. I might be a little more crazier too….
What’s your idea of happiness?
Doing things I love. Whether it be writing or spending time with my family, it makes me happy.
What's your greatest fear?
Losing my family. I seriously don’t know what I would do without them.
What question have you always wanted to be asked? How would you answer it?
Do you want fries with that? I have never in all my fast food experience been asked this. And, drumroll please, my answer would be YES!
Hard or Soft?
Soft. Although I have no idea if I just made a mockery of myself…
Early bird or Night owl?
Night Owl. I work second shift at a warehouse and I come home from work and am unable to sleep till three or four in the morning. Early mornings are the work of the devil…

Dorrie Applegate, is a biography, journalist. Her very first client is Mr. Grant Maxwell, who's a top model. Dorrie's finds herself in a sticky situation but is the chemistry between Dorrie and Grant too much of a temptation or will she risk all.
The talented Mr Maxwell started out well, the synopsis had me intrigued. I did struggle at some stages. And found the arrival of Carly and Dwayne a bit abrupt. I was left feeling confused and found myself backtracking in case I missed their arrival. But they clicked into the story after reading a few more chapters.
I loved the fact Dorrie (Love the name) is a curvy girl, instead of your typical stereotype. I didn't agree with Dorrie's decision, but I could see where she was coming from.
The Talented Mr Maxwell is a good read, although slow at times.
