Discover how Daniel and Arianna met and fell in love.
Arianna Scott has always been drawn to fairy tales and magical happenings, and for good reason. Some would call her ‘special’, some would call her a ‘freak’, Arianna thinks of it as a gift. Giving a helping hand; to people who need assistance, to find their way or each other.
One face has been with her since she was a child, and as that child she made a wish, and cast an innocent spell to meet the boy of her dreams one day.
High school Science teacher Daniel Rhodes’ world is turned upside down when he catches a fainting woman while on a school outing. She seems familiar, which is impossible as he would definitely remember meeting such a beautiful angel before.
Daniel finds himself drawn like Icarus to the sun, to this golden haired girl and the seemingly mystical happenings that surround her.
His science-rules-the-world attitude and the spell cast in innocence by a ten year old girl, cause unforeseen hurdles to what should be a magical road to love.
Describe your personality in three words………
Fun, ditzy, confusing
Describe your writing style in three words…….
Romantic, emotional and fun
Which is your favourite chapter that you have wrote and why?
The final chapter in Rhodes to Magic. I was so excited when I had the ending epiphany for that book and I couldn’t wait to write it, plus as it coincided with the finishing of my second full novel I was doubly excited:) (Although the final chapter in Rhodes to security may change this answer haha)
What has been your toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been your best compliment?
Toughest criticism, was having a review saying my story line was predictable:( Any constructive criticisms are there to help me improve and grow though and we can’t please everyone with one story:) I just strive to do better.
My best compliment, there are a few that I hold dear, but specifically the best compliment I get as an author is anyone of my readers taking the time to leave a review and/or get in touch with me to say they enjoyed my work:) I doubt that feeling will ever get old.
Is there a message in novel/novels that you want your reader to grasp?
I just want to bring a little joy and maybe a little hope to my readers.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Don’t give up, definitely acquire a thick skin and prepare for lots of hard work:)
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would like to play the lead role?
Ooh, I contemplate this sometimes haha... I’m not sure there are many actresses short enough though so I can never choose. As long as they can do crazy/funny/endearing well, I don’t mind:)
If you were a superhero, what would you want your powers to be?
OMG, I contemplate this much more often than my life movie;) Okay, I’d like invisibility, flight and possibly mind reading powers.
If you could meet one of your own characters who would it be and why?
Hmmm, tough one... I would like to meet Darcey Harris, she is a future character, not from the Rhodes series, and she is very special;)
Most embarrassing moment?
When I was a kid, my brother and I were playing football together in the back garden, having a great old laugh, until one of us kicked the ball and smashed the living room window! Our dad jumped up off the couch livid and started chasing us, my brother escaped out the garden gate and dad chased me round the dining room table. I was so scared as I ran, and after all the laughter, I peed myself all the way round the table.
Where do you see yourself if ten years?
Writing, travelling, keeping two teens and two twenties out of trouble haha.

Not succeeding in my new found career.
