Describe your personality in three words………
Devoted, Creative, Compassionate
Describe your writing style in three words…….
Evolving, Realistic, Detailed
Which is your favourite chapter that you have written and why?
I would have to say, Chapter 1. I love the initial meeting of my two main characters and the interaction between them.
What has been your toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been your best compliment?
My toughest criticism has been the disbelief and lack of support from people I expected it from.
My greatest compliment came from a fellow author who read a rough draft of the first few chapters, loved what I had, and encouraged me to finish the story.
Is there a message in your novel/novels that you want your reader to grasp?
Not a message per se. I wrote the story because the characters wouldn't shut up. I just thought it was an interesting idea to have a book nerd fall for a cover model that she met at an author signing event.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Get yourself a good group of people or a person to bounce ideas off of and is/are willing to read your work. Honest opinions are crucial. I've told all of my supporters to be brutal with their feedback. I'm a rookie and need to know if what I wrote, makes, sense, is realistic or is something that entertains. I want to write a quality book and have people come back again to read future books from me.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life , whom would you like to play the lead role?
Hmm, My Life? Emilia Clarke. I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan!
If you were a superhero, what would you want your powers to be?
X-ray Vision. This way I could see what my children were up to behind closed doors. They are mischievous little rascals.
If you could meet one of your own characters who would it be and why?
I would have to say Layla. She's the kind of BFF I would love to have. Supportive, proctective, loving, and forces you out of your comfort zone for your own good.
Most embarrassing moment?
Wow! There's to many to list, I'm a huge klutz. It was during a 6th grade Christmas pagent and included falling off the risers and knocking over the Christmas tree.
Where do you see yourself if ten years?
Hopefully, still writing and have numerous titles under my belt that I can be proud of.
What’s your idea of happiness? Being surrounded by my family, making my children happy and still being in love with my husband after all of our years together.
What's your greatest fear?
Failure and Embarassment
What question have you always wanted to be asked? How would you answer it?
Have I always wanted to be a writer? No, actually writing was the subject in school I hated the most. I never in a million years would have thought, I of all people, would write a book. I would have laughed right in your face if that was your prediction for me.
Hard or Soft? Hard
Early bird or Night owl? Early Bird! I've got three kids, a dog and a hubs who wear me out!
