Nothing short of a miracle will convince Angelea she’s the person everyone claims she is. She thought she was just waking up from a nightmare, but her nightmare is just beginning. Her doctor tells her she’s someone named Angel Bennett, someone she’s never heard of and the bruises on her body tell her something horrendous has happened to her, but what? That’s something no one can figure out.
Nate Matthews knows who Angelea really is. She’s his lover and he’d hoped his future wife. But when she awakens in the hospital after a routine surgery and she claims she’s married to a man named Alexander from a time long ago, he knows they will both be up against something no one has ever had to face before. Maybe something evil. How will he convince the love of his life she is not married to a pirate?
This Girl Loves Books had the pleasure of interviewing Linda Kenny Picl :)
Describe your personality in three words………
Sweet, casual, tolerant
Describe your writing style in three words……
Long, hard, process
Which chapter is your favourite (that you've wrote) and why?
Of my three books, I think the ending chapters are the best. They all have wonderful, happy endings.
What has been your toughest criticism given to you as an author?
What has been your best compliment?
Toughest criticism is always rejection letters. Those stink. Best compliment is when someone writes and tells you they loved your book.
Is there a message in novel/novels that you want your readers to grasp?
My first two novels were about marriages that should never have happened in the first place and how the heroines overcame everything to get to the men they really loved. So I guess my message is don't give up. Either on your love life or your life in general. Keep trying.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Read above...lol. I'd probably tell them if a library clerk from a small suburb in Illinois can get a book or three published anyone should at least give it a try.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life , whom would you like to play the lead role?
Ooh good question...I think Meryl Streep or Sandra Bullock. I'd love either one of them.
If you were a superhero, what would you want your powers to be?
Imagination. I have none. I'd be the Imaginary Superhero.
If you could meet one of your own characters who would it be and why?
I'd love to meet the character Angelea who in my last book wakes up and doesn't recognize anyone in her modern life. She thinks she belongs with a pirate named Alexander. He has come back to get her, so trying to get through that would be fun for me. I love ghost hunting and I think that would be very interesting to deal with.
If one of your books was being transformed into an movie, who would you like play your main characters?
I think Marissa Tome' would be a great Angelea.
Most embarrassing moment? When someone asks me about my books. For some reason they are difficult for me to discuss. It seems like someone else wrote them, so I'm not used to people talking about the books with me.It feels strange.
What’s your idea of happiness?
A nice tall drink on any beach anywhere.
What's your greatest fear?
What question have you always wanted to be asked? How would you answer it? I'd love someone to ask me how it feels to have my books turned into movies. I'd answer them by saying "Great!!!"
Have you got any nicknames?
Honey Jack Daniels
Hard or Soft?
Oh for sure hard.
Early bird or Night owl?
Early bird, I get the worm every morning...lol
Coffee and Tea?
Right handed or Left handed?
Cake or Cookies? Cake, cake, cake
Sub or Dom?
Hmmm , there are times for both.
