I received a copy of this book via Netgalley for an honest review, thank you.
Hockey is my Boyfriend is a story of self-discovery.
Kelly Tanaka is a tomboy, who loves to play hockey, It's her life. She isn't really interested in dating boys and rates potential boyfriends for her mates, on how they play. But when faced with a dare, to ask another hockey player out on a date and to get him to kiss her. Things change...She suddenly becomes interested in boys.
Kelly is impulsive, stubborn and knows her own mind. She can also be naive.
Phil Davidson is Kelly's best friend, but that's the problem. He's been friend zoned. Phil has had a major crush since well ...... Forever. He's also not short of female attention. Even though he's had a lot of girlfriends, I wouldn't class him as a big manwhore.
I struggled to gain a connection with the characters, even though the storyline had potential I felt like it was lacking something. Sorry, but it just didn't grab my attention.
